The beach. Sun, heat, salty water, it’s all out to get you hair.  The sun makes it dry, the heat makes it frizzy, and the salt water makes it even drier. By the end of the day your lucky if you don’t look like a Furbie. So if your like me, you put your hair in ugly braids, smother them in conditioner, try to forget how ugly you look, and tell yourself it’s for the best. But now your can look hot, and healthy, with these beach-proof hairstyles.

Slicked back ponytail

I recently wrote a post called, 1 tip to healthy hair. It’s basically a tight ponytail slicked back with a heavy conditioner. The conditioner moisturizes and the tight ponytail keeps your hair looking modern.

Christina Aguilera looks fab in this high pony and so will you - except youll look fab on the beach.

The braided headband bun

Braids have always been on my beach-proof hairstyle list, but never as glam as this one. It’s just a simple french braid, except this one just happens to look like a headband. To make one just start a french at the top of one ear and keep braiding until you get to the top of the opposite ear.

Coat your braids in conditioner, and your ready to go.

The messy bun

Buns are great because they are chic, and a perfect hairstyle to drench in conditioner. Plus when you take your hair out of the bun, you have perfect beach after-beach waves.

Emma roberts shows how a messy bun can easly go from beah, to chic.

So, grab you conditioner and your hairbands and get ready to go to the beach, because it’s summer, and you’ve got beach-proof hair.

Comment!                                                                                                                                              What’s your favorite beach-proof hairstyle? Or do you use a different method to beach-proof your hair? Tell!

Everyone likes buns. Everyone like braids. And until know, you’ve had to choose which one to wear. Well, that time is over. And like any great creation (light bulb, fire, ect.) I though that the ‘Braided bun’ deserved a post.

In case you didn’t know, the braided bun has been around for a while know. But with snazzy new inventions like the computer, it hasn’t gotten the credit it deserves. So I’m here make sure you know about and it, and make sure you know it’s an easy, fast new way to look great.

Lots of stars are wearing it.

The braid bun is rocking all different types of heads, blonde ones, brunette ones, even supermodel ones. But dont worry, you dont have to be a supermodel to look great in a braid one.

The braided bun has been rocking heads all over Holly Wood. Don't worry, you don't have to be a supermodel like Heidi to look great in a braid bun.

  • Now, here’s how to make one.
  • Make a high ponytail in the back of your head.
  • Braid the ponytail into 1 thick braid.
  • Remove the elastic from the top of the ponytail.
  • Twist the braid around the base or the braid and pin.
  • Now stand in front of the mirror and look fabulous.

Braid, bun, be happy, and comment. 🙂

Braids! I love braids! They’re chic and free spirited, so perfect for work, for a date, so perfect for anything! So, basically I’m trying to say, kaunis.wordpress.com LOVES BRAIDS!

With all the new braided hair styles out their, one plain french braid just isnt cutting it.

So, are you blushing because even  simple braids like the ones in picture two have you fumbling? Well, as they say, practice makes perfect! So keep on braiding! A good way to get braiding practice is to braid your hair before bed.  It keeps it tangle free and leaves it silky and wavy. This way,  if you mess up,  no one will see!

Comment.

Tell us your braiding stories! Got any braid disasters? Or a story where braids saved the day? Well tell us, ’cause we want to know!

Here’s a half baked! Have you ever woken up in the morning to find that your hair has magically turned from gorgeous waves to a rat nest? If you have you know that it’s not the most pleasant experience in the world and I’m sure you would be happy to avoid it.  So how do you avoid it? You listen to me! Right before you go to bed, find two hair ties. Then make two braids. When you wake up the next morning brush the ends of your hair sticking out of your hair tie before taking out the braid. Brush out the braid and ta da, you have gone from braided to beautiful.

Try to make your braids loose like these.

Your bun should look something like this from the front.

Now I know that there are a lot of cool up-dos out there but I think I have found the easiest and chicest look out there, and I’m here to share it with you. This hair style is perfect for working out at the gym (hey, you deserve to be cute all the the time!) or a fancy dinner, basically, this hair style is perfect for anything!

I call it, The Boho Bun.

Before I start a would like to say that this look is only if you can pull your hair back into a bun. Sorry short hair people, but don’t worry a post about short hair is coming soon.

Step one, take two pieces from either side of the front of your head. (in between your ears and your forehead.) Braid those two pieces into two braids and leave them, they will come in handy later.

Step two, gather your hair into a tight, high bun. Make sure the front is smoothed back by brushing it with long strokes as you make the bun.

Step three, take the two braids you made earlier and bring them over the top of your head. Wrap the two braids around the base of your bun and pin.

Ta da, you have a totally chic and easy hair-do!
