Mmmm, yummy!

Yes I know, you think rice cakes are boring. But trust me, they’re not. They come in tons of different flavors,  including cheese, apple cinnamon, caramel, chocolate, and even more. So not boring.

So grab a rice cake and get going, because rice cakes are a yummy, healthy, so not boring snack.

Red lipstick, scary right? Awesome, but scary. Never thought you could pull it off? Well, you can, with just a little bit of help.

There are many different shades of red, the problem is choosing the right one.

There are many different shades of red, the problem is choosing the right one.

First of all you need to choose the right shade.

  • If you have pale skin you should probably go with a bright red to a pinkish red to keep from looking too severe. Stay away from dark or deep reds. Think Marilyn Monroe.
  • If you have pale to medium skin then deep or darker reds are perfect. Avoid bright reds, they’ll wash you out.
  • If you have medium to dark skin then dark, almost brown reds are good for you. Think Queen Latifa.

Secondly you need to make sure your lips are smooth. Apply a layer of lip balm before the lipstick.

Thirdly, line your lips before applying lipstick. This will keep your lipstick from running. Make sure the lip liner is exactly the same shade as the lipstick or you’ll look really, really stupid. To make sure you don’t choose the wrong color lip liner you can always just line your lips using clear powder and a q-tip.

And lastly, just put on your lipstick and admire.

In contrast to everything else popular this summer (bright, shiny, sparkly) dark blue nail polish is one of the hottest new nail polish color.

So get in the game with navy blue nails.

So, you’ve finished applying your mascara, but your lashes aren’t as long as you want them to be. You don’t want to

Using my tip you can make your lashes this long.

Using my tip you can make your lashes this long.

have to go out and by a lengthening mascara, but you still want long lashes. So instead of gunking on layer upon layer of mascara, you might just want to try this little trick.

After you’ve applied 1-2 coats of mascara (no more than two or your lashes start to get clumpy) adjust your mascara wand until the tip is pointing towards your eye. Then put the tip against the very edge of each lash and rub. Repeat until you’ve gone from one end of your eye to the other end. I know it sounds time consuming, but in realty it only takes a surprisingly short amount of time. By twisting your wand sideways and adding mascara to the tips of your lashes you go to places that when you normally apply mascara you can’t reach. So tada, insistently longer lashes.

So there you have it, how to make your lashes look lo(ooooooo)ng without spending a dime.

The LBD (little black dress) is so winter, but it’s summer! And for summer you need something hotter, edgier, might I say, more metallic? Yes I’m talking about a little silver dress, and it’s totally the new summer must.

Along with ice coffee, and sunscreen, your little silver dress is a summer essential. It goes with everything and come fall you can pair it with tights or leggings for a more wintry look. Plus it makes a great beach cover up in the mean time. And for the date next Saturday, pair it with some great heels and a cardigan and bam, you’re good to go. But who’s wearing them?

Starting to see a trend here? But wait, there’s more.

Rihannas rocking a littlle silver dress.

Rihanna's rocking a little silver dress.

And last but not least, mileys rocking a little silver dress.

And last but not least, Miley's rocking a little silver dress.

So grab a silver dress and look like a star, because the little silver dress is taking the nation by storm.

I’m going to tell you a story, and I’d like you to point out what was wrong with it. Here we go!

Jillian got home form work one day and wanted a nice, healthy, yummy snack. Jillian walks to her kitchen and looks in her freezer and pulls out an Oreo. Perfect.

Do you know whats wrong? No, its not that oreos aren’t healthy snacks. Wait, oreos are healthy snacks? This is going to need some discussing! (And if you still want to know what was wrong with the sentence, it was that she had her oreos in the freezer. Yes, I know it’s stupid but hey, no one keeps oreos in the freezer.)

Oreos as healthy snacks, sounds weird right? But it is true. An average normal oreo cookie has 50 calories. A little bit more that your average cheese and cracker. Now I’m not saying they have any nutritional value (the best thing they have is 1 gram of dietary fiber) but they are pretty low on calories verse other cookies. Like the average Pepperidge farm soft baked chocolate chunk cookie has around 160 calories versus an Oreo cookie at 50 calories. Yeah.

So grab an Oreo (but don’t forget your apples!) and dig in, because Oreos (in moderation) are healthy.

Blackheads. Icky, yucky, hard to get rid of blackheads. I’ve been battling these little buggers for years now,

I love baking soda. It cleans pools,it cleans clothes, helps you cook, and it makes blackheads dissaper.

and up until now I’ve lost. No matter what I did they were always there, waiting for me to find away to destroy them and now I have (sorry for the drama, but I hate blackheads). And the funny thing is, it all started by accident.

I’ll start at the beginning. I had been taking a walk with friends and, being my normal clumsy had managed to bump my face into a (now don’t laugh!) poison oak tree. After going through days of itchy, red madness I looked up a homemade remedy to fix it, baking soda (with a bit of water). It worked and soon my poison oak was gone… and so were my blackheads. And since that day I have always used baking soda to clear up my blackheads, and since that day, I have never had one.

So get clear skin fast with… baking soda.
